Have you ever been painfully aware of something to which you needed to attend? Something that you’d been aware of for a VERY long time? And the longer it goes before you take care of it, the more guilt mounts, and the longer you put off dealing with it…
If someone was asking for a show of hands in conjunction with these questions, mine would be the first hand raised, for multiple reasons. First, my website has been in need of a massive overhaul for quite some time. While it was a good site upwards of a decade ago, technologies and design styles have evolved and advanced significantly. As you can see, the overhaul has finally taken place. I engaged someone with a better eye for the asethetics than I have. (And if you ask me nicely, I’ll refer you.) Lesson learned: I should to get help when I need it.
Secondly, I’ve needed to change the focus in my business. From this point out, you’ll see…well…more. More writing, more videos, more services, more books and other resources, more use of social media…more. Some of that has already been started, and more will roll out in the next few weeks and months.
In many ways, I’m off to a fresh start. I’m glad you stopped by. I invite you to engage me on social media and stop by here frequently. Some exciting things are on the way, and I’d love to have you along for the ride.
Jim, I loved your World Championship of Public Speaking speech of ’03 but my URL for it has stopped working. Any time I needed a little lift, it was wings beneath my feet. Next year I’ll start my 50th year of Toast-mastering, but last week I was wiped out on my moped by a young man who had just received his new member package!
